Dr. Bryan Alvarez is board certified in preventive medicine and public health. He is Level II accredited with the Colorado Department of Labor. Prior to joining Colorado Occupational Medical Partners, he had a distinguished career in the US Navy culminating in his role as Commander, US Navy where he served as the Public Health Director for the US Northern Command. In this role, amongst other duties, Dr. Alvarez led efforts in establishing public health and medical treatment guidelines used to respond to public health emergencies including pandemic influenza and natural disasters. He also worked with agencies to coordinate medical relief for 6 major natural disaster events in North America including hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria, Florence, and Michael, as well as the 2018 California Wildfires. In his military career, he has been recognized for his exemplary service including being awarded 2 Meritorious Service Medals and a Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal, amongst other awards and recognition.
